1. 有源二极管


有源二极管是一种同步整流器,主要用于配备低电压和高电流输出的转换器。不同于泛型同步整流电路设计,有源二极管是一个单独的模块,可以用作一个非常低耗损的二极管。有源二极管也解决了对变压器漏电感的灵敏度、输入线电压及并联电力转换器的问题。许多包括200A 1.5 v转换器(没有风扇冷却)的转换器已制作完成。

2. VRM 转换器采用步进电感


快速瞬变的VRM是微处理器的重要组成部分。
在大多数VRM中所使用的通用方法是使用多相交错式转换器。
这个新的VRM只采用了单相降压转换器,令其大大减少了所需的功率元件的数量。
由于只有一个相位来驱动,控制器IC因而被大大简化,借此,一些例如多个相之间的电流分配的问题亦能被解决了。
此项操作的原理是使降压转换器的输出电感成为一个耦合电感器,而当有负载电流瞬时变化时,有效电感可以显著地降低。
所以,这种新的VRM转换器采用步进电感技术可以显著地节约VRM的成本。

3. 使用消除技术降低EMI


电磁干扰(EMI)一直是开关电源设计中费时的过程。
通常会利用配备电容器和电感器的无源滤波器来减少发射EMI,但由于对小尺寸和低成本的电源需求日渐增加,使其越来越难以容纳EMI组件。 利用新的消除技术可大大减少在元件数量和电路板空间方面对EMI滤波器的需求,而且不需要使用昂贵的组件,更不会削弱产品的竞争力。

4. 零纹波转换器


零输出纹波转换器总是能满足配备直流输出的转换器,因为它能消除可能是在电源中最不可靠的部件---电解电容器。
一种采用重叠技术的新转换器利用两个转换器的重叠输出波形不但能除去输出中的方波,而且能大幅降低了纹波,电解电容亦因此可被消除。

5. 不对称桥式转换器


软切换是一种现时流行的减少开关损耗实用技术,尤其是当整个半导体开关的电压摆幅高的时候,效果更明显。 此技术常常应用于主开关受到几百伏的离线转换器。 非对称的开关转换器得到非常高的评价,因为它只需采用一个简单的半桥配置而无需额外的软开关电路系统, 因此我们引入了此类非对称的开关转换器技术。 此外,由于非对称转换器有复杂的传输特性,要控制非对称转换器其实是非常困难的。
引入此项新技术能够在毋须复杂设计的情况下提高转换器的稳定性。

6. 电容耦合转换器


有些转换器如电池充电器需要与控制的输出电源转换器,无需对安全可靠运行反馈电路。
我们引入了一种具备多种功能的新转换器,其具有无反馈电路自动输出功率控制、软开关及自动功率因数校正。
它是理想的高功率电池充电器,其操作原理是将一个电容器串联一个转换器的初级侧,电容在每个开关周期充电和放电, 能量的数据包被传递到由开关频率控制的负载,在负荷开路或短路时会抑制电容器的充电过程,而输出功率亦会被立即降低。

7. 功率因数校正电路


功率因数校正是AC / DC转换器的重要条件。 许多研究者一直在努力整合PFC前端和DCDC转换器,期望能借此减少元件数量并降低成本。然而,由于两个转换器的负担放置在几个半导体开关,集成的转换器并不能只靠上述方法降低成本。 如要令转换器具备高性能便必须要使用昂贵的设备,但这与原本的理念造成矛盾。
因此我们引入了一种新的PFC变换器。
它利用了谐振链路电路以提供软开关予所有主要开关元件,并允许使用低成本的元件情况下同时保持高效能。

8. 高频镇流器


高频镇流器越来越受欢迎,但镇流器电路拓扑已被使用了已经有一段很长时间,但只有轻微的增量改进。
它的其中一个弊病---可靠性低。
常规电路本身并未具备对于灯的不正常状态的保护。即使在灯出现不正常状态时可以利用外部监控电路来关闭转换器,但其实转换器经已受到损害。 因此,一种新的电路拓扑结构已被开发,它能提供自动功率限制。 事实上,这亦是前面提及过的电容耦合器的延伸。 这个电路拓扑本身利用一对电容器充电及放电自动限制了输出功率,它并不需要外接显示器便能为转换器和灯泡提供可靠的运作。 可调光的镇流器亦可利用此技术实践。

9. LED灯转换器


LED灯逐渐成为一个高度可靠和丰富多彩的光源。
发光二极管能够生产三原色,所以它能透过各种不同的三原色组合来产生多种颜色。
混合颜色的常规方法是使用三个独立的电源各自控制的一种三原色。
这个转换器电路拓扑结构的研发目的是让一组三原色的LED只靠一个转换器控制。
借此转换器的数目由三减至一,而且还提供集成控制。
