1. 有源二極管


有源二極管是一種同步整流器,主要用於配備低電壓和高電流輸出的轉換器。不同於泛型同步整流電路設計,有源二極管是一個單獨的模塊,可以用作一個非常低耗損的二極管。有源二極管也解決了對變壓器漏電感的靈敏度、輸入線電壓及並聯電力轉換器的問題。許多包括200A 1.5 v轉換器(沒有風扇冷卻)的轉換器已製作完成。

2. VRM 轉換器採用步進電感


快速瞬變的VRM是微處理器的重要組成部分。
在大多數VRM中所使用的通用方法是使用多相交錯式轉換器。
這個新的VRM只採用了單相降壓轉換器,令其大大減少了所需的功率元件的數量。
由於只有一個相位來驅動,控制器IC因而被大大簡化,藉此,一些例如多個相之間的電流分配的問題亦能被解決了。
此項操作的原理是使降壓轉換器的輸出電感成為一個耦合電感器,而當有負載電流瞬時變化時,有效電感可以顯著地降低。
所以,這種新的VRM轉換器採用步進電感技術可以顯著地節約VRM的成本。

3. 使用消除技術降低EMI


電磁干擾(EMI)一直是開關電源設計中費時的過程。
通常會利用配備電容器和電感器的無源濾波器來減少發射EMI,但由於對小尺寸和低成本的電源需求日漸增加,使其越來越難以容納EMI組件。 利用新的消除技術可大大減少在元件數量和電路板空間方面對EMI濾波器的需求,而且不需要使用昂貴的組件,更不會削弱產品的競爭力。

4. 零紋波轉換器


零輸出紋波轉換器總是能滿足配備直流輸出的轉換器,因為它能消除可能是在電源中最不可靠的部件---電解電容器。
一種採用重疊技術的新轉換器利用兩個轉換器的重疊輸出波形不但能除去輸出中的方波,而且能大幅降低了紋波,電解電容亦因此可被消除。

5. 不對稱橋式轉換器


軟切換是一種現時流行的減少開關損耗實用技術,尤其是當整個半導體開關的電壓擺幅高的時候,效果更明顯。 此技術常常應用於主開關受到幾百伏的離線轉換器。 非對稱的開關轉換器得到非常高的評價,因為它只需採用一個簡單的半橋配置而無需額外的軟開關電路系統, 因此我們引入了此類非對稱的開關轉換器技術。 此外,由於非對稱轉換器有複雜的傳輸特性,要控制非對稱轉換器其實是非常困難的。
引入此項新技術能夠在毋須複雜設計的情況下提高轉換器的穩定性。

6. 電容耦合轉換器


有些轉換器如電池充電器需要與控制的輸出電源轉換器,無需對安全可靠運行反饋電路。
我們引入了一種具備多種功能的新轉換器,其具有無反饋電路自動輸出功率控制、軟開關及自動功率因數校正。
它是理想的高功率電池充電器,其操作原理是將一個電容器串聯一個轉換器的初級側,電容在每個開關週期充電和放電, 能量的數據包被傳遞到由開關頻率控制的負載,在負荷開路或短路時會抑制電容器的充電過程,而輸出功率亦會被立即降低。

7. 功率因數校正電路


功率因數校正是AC / DC轉換器的重要條件。 許多研究者一直在努力整合PFC前端和DCDC轉換器,期望能藉此減少元件數量並降低成本。 然而,由於兩個轉換器的負擔放置在幾個半導體開關,集成的轉換器並不能只靠上述方法降低成本。 如要令轉換器具備高性能便必須要使用昂貴的設備,但這與原本的理念造成矛盾。
因此我們引入了一種新的PFC變換器。
它利用了諧振鏈路電路以提供軟開關予所有主要開關元件,並允許使用低成本的元件情況下同時保持高效能。

8. 高頻鎮流器


高頻鎮流器越來越受歡迎,但鎮流器電路拓撲已被使用了已經有一段很長時間,但只有輕微的增量改進。
它的其中一個弊病---可靠性低。
常規電路本身並未具備對於燈的不正常狀態的保護。即使在燈出現不正常狀態時可以利用外部監控電路來關閉轉換器,但其實轉換器經已受到損害。 因此,一種新的電路拓撲結構已被開發,它能提供自動功率限制。 事實上,這亦是前面提及過的電容耦合器的延伸。 這個電路拓撲本身利用一對電容器充電及放電自動限制了輸出功率,它並不需要外接顯示器便能為轉換器和燈泡提供可靠的運作。 可調光的鎮流器亦可利用此技術實踐。

9. LED燈轉換器


LED燈逐漸成為一個高度可靠和豐富多彩的光源。
發光二極管能夠生產三原色,所以它能透過各種不同的三原色組合來產生多種顏色。
混合顏色的常規方法是使用三個獨立的電源各自控制的一種三原色。
這個轉換器電路拓撲結構的研發目的是讓一組三原色的LED只靠一個轉換器控制。
藉此轉換器的數目由三減至一,而且還提供集成控制。
